Kawasaki Medical School introduced“Mathematical Sciences Lecture and Programming Lab”as an elective class in“Liberal Arts Ⅱ”in the 2020 academic year, and made it compulsory from the 2021 academic year.<br>This report provides an overview of the model curriculum for mathematics, data science, and AI at universities. It also discusses“Programming Education”a primary course on information processing and communication technology that was newly introduced with the revision of the Courses of Study at elementary, junior high, and senior high schools.<br>Finally, this report presents the results of a survey conducted among second-year students at Kawasaki Medical School, who were educated prior to the revision of the Courses of Study, to enquire about their attitudes and ideas about mathematics, data science, and AI.
