産学連携知的財産管理室の2020年度半ばから2021年度半ばにかけての活動を報告するとともに考 察を加える。2021年度にはメンバーが入れ替わり教員２名，職員２名が新メンバーとなった。知的 財産管理については，特許出願と特許登録はともに数を伸ばしているものの，発足当時の件数増加 への注力から，ここ数年では実用化の可能性が高い案件に厳選する方向にある。産学連携活動の支 援も継続して推進している。研究シーズの学外イベントへの出展，学内イベントの企画運営も鋭意 遂行しており，学外組織との連携も滞りなく進めている。しかしながら，昨今のコロナ禍でイベン トや会議のほとんどがオンライン開催となっている。産学連携および知的財産管理の活動は大学の 使命として挙げられる社会貢献および研究活動の推進に大きく寄与することから，社会情勢をにら みながら，今後も継続して取り組んで行きたい。 |

The activity of Industry-Academia Collaboration and Intellectual Property Management Section of Kawasaki Medical School in the fiscal year 2020 through the middle of the fiscal year 2021 is reported in this article. In this management section, two new members of educational staff and two new members of administrative staff were replaced in the beginning of the fiscal year 2021.The number of the patent application and the patent registration increased in these fiscal years, however, the patent applications have been highly selected nowadays to be turned into actual utilization with high possibility, with compared to the applications in the period around the establishment of this section. We enthusiastically keep to carry out the participation to exhibitions and the management of in-house events as well as to support the industry-academia collaborations. However, most of the events and meetings have been on-going to be held online because of the COVID-19 pandemic. We would like to continue eagerly the activity of industry-academia collaborations and intellectual property managements in the consideration of the social situations, since our activity would offer a significant contribution towards the promotion of the corporate social responsibility and the research activities, both of which are the Medical School’s missions. |
