| 値 | グローバル化する社会において，外国語，特に英語運用能力の向上が求められている。大学において学生は高等学校教育の延長として英語を学ぶこととなるが，高等学校における英語教育の現状や授業改善についてはあまり知られていない。また，高等学校側からすれば大学入学者選抜改革やアドミッション・ポリシーとの関わりにおいて，授業改善に取り組まねばならないことは理解しているものの，改革の波の影響力を測りかね，積極的になれないのも現実である。 本稿では高等学校における英語の授業改善の現状と本学で今年度から始めた授業改善に焦点を当て，高大接続における英語教育の現在と将来の可能性について，具体的な授業方法を例に述べる。 |

| 値 | In the globalized society, it is essential to improve the ability of foreign language skills, especially English. Students at the university continue to learn English after graduating from senior high school, while teachers are not familiar with what and how English classes are being practiced and improved. High school teachers understand that they have to improve their teaching methods. On the other hand, they cannot accelerate the pace of the improvement of English teaching mainly because they do not exactly know how much the university entrance examination will change in relation to policy for acceptance of admitted students. I will focus on the current improvement in teaching English at senior high schools as well as the improvement we have just started at Kawasaki Medical School. Also, I will mention what is being carried out in English teaching now and what will be possible in the near future under high school/university articulation. |
